International Lindy Hop Championships | Washington DC | Dance Photography

Its time again for another post about a Lindy Hop weekend. Well this wasn't just any dance weekend, it was ILHC. It was awesome! I got to see some of the most awesome performances ever! The workshop was awesome too, I really enjoyed the instructors and the classes. Everything about the weekend was fantastic, except we couldn't use flash photography. I learned just how much I rely on my flash during dances and had a heck of a time fighting with lighting. The drive was only to DC and that's pretty close so it was nice and short. OK now on to the goodies! Just a warning, I have a ton of favorites from this weekend and this is just half of the photos so far. :)

I really like getting the crowd in my shots. I think it adds something to it.

There was a lot of jammin going on in the hotel lobby until wee hours into the .. morning.

I think this guy was doing some sort of a dip but since I only had the 50mm on this was what I got. It makes me laugh. :)

During the Charleston Prelims

Sharon Davis clearly had something on her mind. I love how it kept the girl in focus even though she was passing by. See folks, you don't always need to be mindful of the camera. Sometimes mistakes are good.. or at least different.
